This hand-turned burl hollow form features a swelling, teardrop silhouette that tapers upward to a rugged, live-edge opening. Crafted from a vibrant piece of burl wood, the vessel displays dense clusters of swirling eyes, deep honey and golden-amber tones, and striking dark bark inclusions that cut across its rounded surface.
A  natural void opens along the side, revealing the hollowed interior and giving the piece a raw, organic presence.
 
Finished simply with mineral oil, the wood retains a smooth, tactile matte finish that enhances its natural grain without adding artificial shine.
 
This hand-turned hollow form is designed purely as a decorative art piece and display sculpture. Due to the natural characteristics of the wood—including natural voids, bark inclusions, and a non-watertight finish—it is not intended to hold liquid, food, or fresh floral arrangements with water.
