Upcycling my left-over Australian Mallee burl pieces to turn them into cool looking hybrid vase. For this project I have mixed some red mica powder into my deep pour epoxy resin what created a stunning contrast with the burl pieces. Once it was shaped on the lathe it drilled a hole in the middle to accommodate a glass insert. This makes this project both decorative and fully functional.
It was finished to a high grit sanding then applied several layers of clear gloss lacquer for long lasting protection.
